The Dog Theatre is the premier access site for theatre in the western suburbs of Melbourne - Australia.

Yes - The Dog Theatre used to be a venue - fixed, but now we have evolved into Australia's first Site - Specific Theatre venue. We have all of our own equipment and can go anywhere we believe theatre needs a shot in the Creative Arm.

But that doesn't stop us from showing you where the best and most suitable spaces are and who the Arts Organisations you should know about are - here in the west.

When The Dog Started out in 2008, there were no professional Independent Theatre spaces in the West, now there are 3 in walking distance from each other and beyond. The Big West Festival is no puppy anymore either and its reputation is expanding at a rapid rate.

The Arts community in the West is seething with life and The Dog Theatre is here to support its sustainable growth.
